New Memory Stress Test and Intel Haswell Refresh Support
Today FinalWire has announced the immediate availability of AIDA64 v4.20. All four editions of the recently revamped AIDA64 product family have been updated to the new version, which introduces a new multi-threaded memory stress test, rewritten from scratch, and support for the AMD Mantle API.
The new multi-threaded memory stress testing engine now uses SSE2, AVX, AVX2 and FMA acceleration, and scales up to 128 logical processors (or up 640 logical processors in AIDA64 Engineer and AIDA64 Business). As a result, the test puts the memory subsystem under more extreme load than before. The February update makes AIDA64 one of the first system diagnostic tools to offer support for Mantle, introducing a new information page dedicated to AMD's new graphics API. The latest release also implements full support for Intel “Haswell Refresh”, “Bay Trail”, “Avoton” and “Rangeley” processors.
Last November, FinalWire expanded its product range with a new professional product and also added new capabilities to its existing business products. Now the AIDA64 product family consists of three business editions and a home edition. The company's flagship offering is AIDA64 Business, which had been enhanced to offer hardware monitoring and diagnostic functionality, while a new, dedicated network inventory solution called AIDA64 Network Audit is also available, for a lower license fee. Designed for corporate engineers and IT technicians, AIDA64 Engineer now comes with new expert tools not available in AIDA64 Extreme, the home edition of the software.
“Market response to our revamped business portfolio has been extremely positive for the past few months. Our new offerings allow our customers to easily find the right solution that best fits their needs. Besides implementing support for the latest hardware and software technologies, we keep on developing new business features for our professional product line to be able to offer even more value to the growing number of companies and organizations who decide to choose AIDA64”, said Tamas Miklos, lead developer at FinalWire.
